Summer Styling Series- Paris

Hello Lovelies,

If your anything like me then the summer feels like its so far away. Yet I cannot stop myself dreaming about my perfect summer holiday wardrobe. I have mentioned a billion times that I am going travelling around Europe for a whole month!! I'm unbelievably excited, but for someone who likes to usually pack 2 outfits for everyday (one day and one night) when on my usual summer holiday this whole backpacking scenario is going to be quite the challenge.

It got me thinking about different destinations and what I would wear, I wouldn't wear the same style in Ibiza as I would Morocco and that's where my idea for this summer styling series came from. I love putting together outfits, hence the reason my blog includes a lot of fashion posts, so I thought why not do a whole series dedicated to styling outfits for certain destinations. I also plan on including my own trip details and outfits alongside beauty and packing posts too, such as what I take in my make-up bag or how to pack a carry on for short and long trip. I will also include my own packing list and tips when I come to sort my own backpack out :)

So for my first Summer Styling destination I have chosen : PARIS

Paris is well known for its fashion, beautifully tailored, well put together fashion. It is such a beautiful city with so many things to see I wanted to reflect that in the pieces that I have chosen to include. All items are readily available online at the stores I have listed.

-Black t-shirt dress- Miss Selfridge- £39.00
-Check flute skirt- river island- £18.00
-Polka dot playsuit- river island- £25.00
-Monochrome collared dress- Select- £12.00
-Black strappy cami- select- £5.00
-Pale blue blazer- Dorothy Perkins- £35.00
-Pink midi skater skirt- Dorothy Perkins- £20.00
-Cream A line skirt- Dorothy Perkins- £35.00
-Polka dot cami- Select- £6.99
-Sleeveless shirt- Select- £12.00
-Cream embellished Kimono- River Island- £35.00
-Black structured bag- New look- £19.99
-Monochrome clutch- New look- £15.99
-Sunglasses- River Island- £15.00
-Watch- River island- £28.00

The pieces all reflect the upcoming season trend of tailored monochrome with a hint of pastel. The items are easy to mix and match so therefore you can fit more souvenirs in your case, that means some serious shopping is to be done on the Champ Elysee!!

For the beauty :

Bioderma- French Pharmacy
lipstick ‘nevada’ – Topshop- £8.00
Glow highlighter ‘gleam’- Topshop- £12.00
Lipgloss ‘’lets travel the world’’- Tanya Burr- £6.99
Kardashian touch tone eyeshadows- Feel Unique- £11.95
False lashes in ‘mayfair’- Millie Mackintosh at Feel Unique- £8.99

Parisian women are known for their effortless beauty and are extremely well groomed, I think the perfect make-up look would be dewy skin, neutral eye with a slick of volumising mascara and a pop of red gloss. Easy but super chic.

I  hope you've enjoyed the first of my summer styling posts
what destination would you like to see?

White Blazer | Outfit post

Hello lovelies,

Today when I woke the sun was shining and the birds were singing. I thought my gosh this weather is beautiful! I clambered out of bed and rooted through my wardrobe, yes this was the perfect day for the white blazer. I've had it for a while now but it has never been the right weather to wear it so it made its debut appearance today. It was by no means warm, in fact it was quite chilly, never the less I was wearing it.

I decided to make the most of the weather before the rain would inevitably show its face and went for a nice long walk around our local park. It was nice to get out of the house for some much needed fresh air.

Naked pallette dupe | beauty post

Hello my Lovelies,

Hope you all are having a nice day! I recently purchased the Beauty UK palette in Eden for £5.99. I wasn't expecting much colour wise but i was pleasantly surprised! there is a nice mixture of nude shimmers and two mattes. There are ten colours all together ranging from a light champagne pink to a dark amber.

With bronzed eyes being set to be a big trend this coming spring i wanted to find an alternative cheaper palette for those of you who are on a budget or are starting out your make-up collection. If your a bit of a make-up junkie like me then you can never have enough nude eye shadows! i already have all three naked palettes by Urban Decay and love them dearly, yet i still couldn't resist purchasing this beauty.

Posh Pallette in Eden- £5.99

Used today to create a smoky bronze eye with a bold pink lip.

Close up 1

Close up 2

Today i used the lightest pink shade in the corner of my eyes and brow bone to highlight. I then used the amber orange all over the lid and the darkest brown shimmer in the crease. I loved the effect it gives and it really makes my blue eyes pop.

If you are looking for a nice set of nude eye shadows with good colour pay off then i highly recommend this palette, for only £5.99 it is a steal!

When in doubt, wear red | Outfit Post

Hello Lovelies,

I have been trying to wear as many of my tartan outfits as possible before i switch up my wardrobe to my Spring wardrobe.

I personally love red and the above title is perfect, however i think black is always a safe option too. So with a dress that combines the best of both i don't think you can go far wrong.

I have been working a lot lately so unfortunately my lifestyle section of my blog has been a little lack lustre, i'm hoping this will change soon. For now i hope you are enjoying my outfit posts  and i will have a few reviews coming up soon too.

Beauty Purchases

Hello Lovelies,

As promised I am going to share with you some of the purchases I made yesterday whilst out shopping with my mum.

Batiste dry shampoo- £2.00- Wilkinsons

I cannot live without dry shampoo, it's one of my holy grail products

Tresemme blow dry cream for volume- £2.50- Asda

This was on offer in Asda and I've been looking for a product that will give me some extra Oomph to my quite flat hair, I will let you know how this product goes once I have given it a good testing.

Foundation brush- £2.00- Wilkinsons -

I've been after a flat foundation brush that I can use to build up my coverage before going in with my Real techniques buffing brush. For £2.00 you can't go wrong really. The brush feels very soft and I used it this morning to achieve a fuller coverage foundation. So far so good :)

Vaseline Spray & Go moisturiser- £3.99- Superdrug

Now I love moisturising but I must admit I can be quite lazy with it, I saw this when I was in superdrug and I thought what an amazing concept. I've used it twice already and it really does make applying moisturiser much easier and time efficient. I will also review this after I have used it a bit more.

Barry M Nail Paints- £2.99 each- Superdrug

Now I am obsessed with Barry M nail varnishes, I think they have such an amazing range of colours, textures and finishes. The best part is the consistency, you don't need to apply endless coats to achieve a full coverage and thus your product lasts longer. These were on offer in Superdrug for buy one get one half price so I picked up these two shades.

Pink Flamingo- a vibrant candy pink

Cappucino- a Mocha/taupe brown

Hope you enjoyed reading this post,
What products are you currently reaching for?

Outfit Of The Night- Theatre

Hello Lovelies,
Last night me and Stephen went to the theatre to watch the play Odyssey, it's about Odisseus who was part of the Trojan horse plan during the war with troy and his journey to get home. It was very interesting and slightly different to what I expected, they had modified the plot slightly so it was more modern. It's nice to go out and do something different, and for such occasion I thought I had better wear something nice.

Here is my outfit of the evening:

Top- Primark
Black Blazer- Select
Asymmetric Skirt- Asda
Necklace- Primark

I love the nude pink of the top combined with the light and dark grey flowers

Face of the evening, subtle make-up with a brighter pink lip
I put some gentle curls in my hair too.

Hope you enjoyed this outfit post and you all
had a lovely weekend

Lusting After..

Hello Lovelies,
it seems I have an addiction, an addiction to checking the new in section on clothing websites. It's like a religious routine that I check everyday what new stock had come in, my favourite places to check are Select, New Look, Asda, Miss Selfridge and River Island. It's not good news for my bank balance and I think I may need to try and quit looking as saving is hard as it is never mind filling myself with temptation!!

That being said I have put together some of the things that caught my eye recently, it will save yourselves from having to look through the new in sections ;)

Polka dot collared dress- select- £12.99

White 3 qtr sleeve skater dress- select-£14.00

White biker coat- select- £22.00

Nude cut out shoes- asda- £12.00

Floral shirt- New look- £19.00

Black strappy lace trim dress- New look- £19.99
Tribal necklace- New look- £9.99

So there are a few of the things that caught my attention. I love neutral colours at the minute, monochrome, nudes and greige. I find that you can play around more with accessories when your outfit is a neutral shade and that's what I love about the tribal necklace, paired with a plain white t-shirt it would be the perfect pop of colour.

The weather is depressing me just lately, all we have is rain, rain and rain. To the extent in which many coastal places have actually flooded, I'm fed up of the dreary weather and yearn for the warmer climate.

Enough of me rambling on, Hope you all have a lovely day

Valentine's day pamper session

Hello Lovelies!!
As we all know Valentines day is tomorrow and I thought what a perfect time to write about pampering. Now pampering sessions do not need to be saved for special occasions, I think its nice to have an evening or day to completely indulge yourself in luxurious products. However saying this I find Valentines day is the perfect excuse to treat yourself :)

Most of the time its difficult to fit in a face mask, we find it hard to stop and take 20 minutes just to relax. However when I have an all out pampering session I love to use this Avon clay mask, it gets rid of impurities yet is gentle and not drying on the skin.

This product is my new love, it's the simple foam cleanser and it is brilliant! I don't know if its the foam consistency or formula but it suits my skin perfectly and although I still love my l'Oreal cleanser this may have just pipped it to the post of being my favourite. Simple's products are very gentle on the skin and therefore don't cause it to become tight or dry and that's what I love about it.

The next stage in my ultimate pamper session is the feet, now these poor things often get a little neglected other than the quick lick of paint on the toe nails. Just think how much you stand and walk a day! These little troopers need a treat every so often and the heel genius foot cream by Soap and Glory is amazing, it softens hard skin and also smells lovely too. I like to (or get my partner to) massage this in to my feet in order to give them a bit of rejuvenation.

What says Valentines day better than a red nail polish, I have gone matchy matchy this Valentines and painted both my toes and finger nails in this red gelly polish by Barry M. What I love about these polishes is that because they are a gel they leave a beautiful glossy finish, they make you feel and look like you've had a professional manicure!!

After the face mask and foaming cleanser I like to use a good moisturiser to soften the skin after giving it a good clean. I have an oily t-zone but the rest of my face gets quite dry, particularly in winter. After all this dull miserable weather we've had in the UK it has left my skin feeling a tad lacklustre and in definite need of a pick me up and this moisturiser certainly provides it.

I like to keep the skin on my body feeling soft, especially my legs and arms. I think that having smooth soft skin makes you feel sexier and that's always a good thing, especially for Valentines day. I like to use the righteous butter by soap and glory because I love the smell of it and the thick consistency provides a lot of nourishment for the skin.

Now fake tan might now be in everyone's pamper routine but I find that I feel more body confident when I have my fake tan on. I think it makes me appear thinner and less lumpy! I don't know if this is in my imagination or not but there we go. If being tanned makes you feel good then go with it, I find i feel more confident with it on. If you have seen my fake tan routine you will have already heard me rave about this product, if not then it is the mousse tan by St Moriz which retails at £2.99. It is the perfect colour brown you not look orange or streaky and I find it is so easy to use.

Finish off with a spritz of your favourite perfume, i like to spritz a little in my hair so that when the wind blows you can smell it :)

I hope you all have a wonderful Valentines day whether it be with your partner, mum, friend or even yourself, remember to treat yourself as it should be a day about loving yourself as well as others
